One of the things that most new affiliate marketers forget or fail to do is keep accurate records of their activities. This will make the learning process take more time and be harder.

If you throw yourself straight in to your online campaigns with no clear idea of where you want to get to you are going to have a difficult time getting there.

We are all trying to make money on the Internet and the organised guys will make the most, simply because they will have figured out what works and then be able to repeat it over and over, and also step away from what doesn’t work. So let us try to make a proper record of our activities so we can at least remember what we have done.

Simply set up a text pad file and call it Your Domain Log.

In your Domain Log you will start at the top with your Domain Name. Write your site description and tag lines. This clarifies and focuses the ideas for your website.

Draw a horizontal line and then list your keywords. Many mini sites are set up around just one keyword and if that is the case so be it or you may have a number of phrases that are related and you will put up a site with many pages, list them all.

Using your keyword phrases try to come up with as many article titles as you can, just the titles as you will be writing content later.

Now open accounts on web 2.0 sites like Squidoo or blogger.com and list the URLs.

Now, as you create content for your site you can keep a record of all the things you have done. This is amazingly helpful and it will allow you to see your progress all in one place.

If you keep a record of links you can manage to obtain you will also be able to work out what is worth your time doing and what is not. All this information is at your fingertips if you keep your log updated.

Create a Domain Log for each site and you can be more efficient and more profitable as an affiliate marketer.
