Dominating Online

Teaching you how to make a killing in internet marketing.

Just one of the best ways to get traffic is by doing article marketing. By writing articles you get an powerful and effective traffi-generating tool for your site and building a path for your readers that just wish to know more info on your articles.

Your articles need to contain useful information. Then go to articles directories articles directories, for example IdeaMarketers and EzineArticles and so many others and register.

Other hot way of getting traffic is blogging – a way of being heard by a wider public and build better relationship with the customers. You can get traffic for  your blog then direct it to your own website. Blogs are more trustworthy than website. Why? Because blogs tend to be more personal and with blogs, users can easily comunicate with the writer by writing comments. By users returning to your site and reading more posts, relationship based on trust is build which is sure to make the traffic to your site go up, therefore more leads, more sales, and more profit.

There also exist marketers which have created huge lists of people, people which trust the marketer. This is a great way of starting to boost your traffic. Once they start promoting your site, you will surely get more visitors, and since they all trust the marketer, there’s a higher chance you’ll have buyers.

The third method is using Youtube. It’s the second visited website worldwide. With youtube you can watch videos in your browser and even em-bed videos into your blog or website. Also, you can make your own vidoes, post them on Youtube, then embed them to your website or blog. However, in this business, is advisable that your vidoes be less than two or three  minutes in lenght.

Don’t sell, sort!

The internet madness has caused an opportunity for anyone to be a marketer  as soon as they have the right tools to work his way through a maze of rethorical and misleading internet commerce. We’re living in an era of megainformation : with a simple mouse click we can transform an idea into money. I know this is oversimplified, but the idea is that selling online is here to stay and if you have the right tools you can do anything that your mind can create, online.

This era is, however, quickly becoming an era of information management within the information era. Go to google and type anything – it will produce hundreds if not thousands of results – thing that is very confusing: where should I find answers? This makes the process of determinating which path to chose in acquiring your answer even more difficult than acquiring your answer itself! The level of hype, mistruths, propaganda and lot of other falsities has tripled on the internet, so it is essentially that we are able to find trustful organisations and people on the internet.

To be able to get behind the mainstream and get in touch with the next-generation rich, quick blast e-mail, you need to class yourself online as a trustworthy source. How do you do that? Setting yourself and your image apart from the usual propaganda, you must “brand” your image, and along it, yourself. Branding means creating and mass-distribute your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) which ought to make people want to get in touch with your story as opposed to be competitions. Still, what does this mean? Shortly, since the beggining of marketing people are attracted by people, not businesses. The products and the business were selling anyway, eventually. The USP and the person is what persuades them to buy it from you, personally – it’s in the human nature.

Once we can understand this, we can now build all our campaigns to sell our a product from the top of the hill, having a mission objective as opposed to convincing, selling or telling. No one wants to be tricked by the salesman, right? Instead, everyone adores to trade on “their terms”. This is a game plan that is made for winning and getting the jackpot. If we go on the market using “our story”, the target market will resonate and, therefore, we’ll attract the exact type of people we want to sell products to. This strategy works even offline, even in direct selling. That’s why it’s said that amateurs “sell”, while professionals “sort” – meaning that one should not persuade anyone for his products, if the campaign and the USP are built around him, he will automatically attract the right customers.

How to think small.

A very famous book is called “The magic of Thinking Big”. It explains how people let small thinking about their worth and aptitudes keep them away from achieving their objectives in life. Surely, a good lesson that applies to the big areas of life: career, happiness, love but, when talking about internet marketing, thinking big can really damage your chances of succeeding.

The internet is oversaturated with guys promoting “make money instant” dreams – the message that these ads send is that if it doesn’t pay right up, and if it doesn’t pay good, isn’t worth trying. The issue with that message is that significant sums of money can be quickly made on the internet, but these cases typically occur a few months or years of working into an internet marketing career, and very rarely you’ll win something in the first few days.

When the new internet marketers realise that to win money on the internet it takes time, risk and hard work, they fall back. They are promised an instant big score, and, instead of starting to work (admiting that they were recruted by some marketing hype), they actually move on to another “promise”. This persists until they either actually start working on their business, or stop looking.

They are misled by the idea of quiting their day jobs favoring this industry that sells so intensely. They start scheming instant riches plans and, when they find out that things aren’t quite working as they thought they would, or as they’ve been told, they quit. But what would happen if they’d quit thinking that all their income must come from a single website or product, they’d be starting thinking small?

Let’s take an example: if one person can establish a system in a week, that earns him a dollar every day, is it convenient for him to work another week to establish another system, that would earn him another dollar each day? Is it odd to think that such a person could create thirty – thirty-five such system, and earning an steady income of 30-35 dollars per day, with just a little bit of faith and perseverance? Of course not.

Thirty dollars each day means about 1100 dollars per year. Not enough to live big, but surely enough to make a difference. I mean, would you rather have a 0$ income by trying to start big in this industry, or would you rather earn a steady of 1100$ per year by starting small. The path that I suggest is a safer path to succes, rather than trying to get a big score and getting over your head, right before starting.

What about the “Niches”?

The most common mistake that begginer business owners usually do is marketing their products to a large market, rather than focusing on a small “niche” market. It is a misconception that if you limit your business to a small niche, you’ll get fewer sales – WRONG. It takes loads of money to market a business locally and internationally.

Try and ask a today’s succesful business owner for a piece of advice and they will surelly say “start on a small market” – this being true especially when you have a small budget and you need to survive on the market. It is esential to succed in at least one niche market before going on a large market, otherwise is guaranteed that you’ll go broke and be out of business even sooner than you might think. If you focus your business on a small niche, you highly increase the chances that your business will succeed with lesser risks.

So, what is a niche market? A niche market is a group of buyers that have a distinct need. I.E.: If you sell bird cages, you’re main niche must consist of people who own a parrot (or a house bird, for that matter) or people that plan to buy one. Your goal is to get an income large enough, at a price that the customers can afford. But, if you plan to sell the bird cages to everyone that owns a bird in the country, you must invest a lot of money just for marketing and they’ll all go wasted because not all of the people that see your commercials will have interest in purchasing the bird cages. By ignoring these facts, you’ll lose loads of money.

If you want to start a business and succeed, you must start on a small “niche”. The trick is to find a market group (“niche”) where your product is most needed and, also, with a price that everyone in that niche affords. If you market confortably, new-invented leather chairs, you might want to consider it to the office-workers or the office owners. There are loads of small niches to consider – just think who needs your product most and then aim your marketing on that small niche market.

Start small and in time you’ll become big.

Succesful Marketing Strategies.

You can’t repair by chance a failing online strategy. If you want your online marketing strategies to work, combine the old methods with the new methods to get the best technique to use.

Firstly, make sure you indentified your target, done your keyword research and made a good copy. Now your objective is to get free traffic that converts into sales. Try and write an article every day, and make a video every day, both for three months. Share these at the key distribution websites, along with your blogs and social media.

You need to get good at writing articles. Read a good book about writing copies and then practice it daily. A good book I’ve found on this matter is written by Jonathan Kranz and it’s called “Writing Copy”. The perfect article should be about 300-500 words with keywords throughout it.

Also, you need to get your articles distributed. I tend to use Distribute Your Articles to find my articles among 600-800 totally different outlets always.

You may think “why producing a video?”. Think a bit. Aren’t you more tempted by a video ad on google than by it’s paired article on the same subject? Therefore, when you write an article, try and release a video too. The video isn’t necesarly long. 1-2 minutes is enough. Distribute this on sites like Traffic Geyser.

These strategies are tested and they are successful techniques (otherwise I wouldn’t be recommending these to you), but they only work in the long-run, so don’t expect any over-night change. About one out of five articles will generate traffic. Another great thing is if you’re already comfortable with the camera, your videos will be a great asset.

Most important before writing an article is that you do a proper amount of keyword research. If you use keywords too broad, it is most unlikely that you won’t be seen. You might want to use long tail keywords. Why? The shorter and broader the keyword is, it might be too competitive for me alone to dominate.

I’ve mentioned earlier of “Social Media Marketing”: I suggest you create accounts on sites like blogger, facebook, twitter and linkedin and every time you post your article and your video on your website, visit a site called “Ping FM”. This tool will automatically upload your post on all the sites above mentioned.

When this is done daily for three months you should have a steady income traffic. Now, it’s optionally for you to start an offline marketing campaign, since you’re now an “expert” in online marketing. You can create a free local course to create disciples to your online system. To find course participants, you can use local search engines or even postcard marketing by promoting a webpage with the course registration form. When you have about 20 students at your course, you can have a friend video the course and upload it on your website to get more traffic.

Other methods like autoresponder marketing and pay per click (PPC) also work well, but I’d rather start small and succeed than start big and fail. These rather simple online marketing methods work. I have proved how these time-tested methods can build a nice flow of leads to your website without the cost of money, but of time.

The two most important things you need when doing internet marketing is a website with suitable webhosting and the proper marketing tools to promote your website.

Your site may look as professional as microsoft.com or even better, may have the right products/services and the best articles, but without promoting your website you won’t get any traffic, therefore, no sales. The promotion of your website depends on the tools you use to advertise it.

Remember that your site isn’t the only one on the internet at the present, therefore you need to find the most effective internet marketing tool, so you can get the right results.

There are quite a few internet marketing tools you can choose from, each of them having their own different way to bring traffic to your website. The most popular thing used by people to find services, information or products they’re looking for are the Search Engines.

Your main objective is to get your website to be listed on search engines, mostly on Google. Google is the most used search engine nowadays – to get on the first page is every internet marketer’s dream. To do so, you need the right marketing tools.

Search Engine Optimisation (abreviated as SEO) is the main tool you are going to use. SEO is being used by more and more internet marketers in the present. SEO makes many website to rank high in search engines – without SEO, the same websites would be just as any other website – not getting any traffic at all.

One way to understand this is understanding the way that search engines work. A search engine could easily be compared with a spider looking at the density of a keyword and the content of the website – that’s why you need to have the right web content. You need proper keywords in relevance with the content of your website to be on the right way to achieve a high position and rank on the search engines.

Because the competition you’ll have, having the right internet marketing tools is the most valuable thing you can have, because you’ll always need to get trafic. One of the most popular internet marketing tools nowadays is Pay Per Click (PPC). Using PPC Advertising you’ll bid for a keyword against other marketers. The PPC ads usually are placed at the very top of the search results or, by case, in the right side. When one clicks on a PPC ad, the marketer pays to the search engine the price they agreed in the bidding.

The most popular search engines that offer PPC advertising are Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Article directories is a great way to drive free traffic to whatever site you run. Submission to article directories is a powerful and effective way to generate free traffic to your website or blog. However, be aware that it’s a long term strategy and the results will not be tomorrow. Never the less this should absolutely be a part of your overall internet marketing strategy. And the best part of it: it’s free (i recommend the free ones atm). Once you get ranked good with Goggle, you are likely to stay there for a long time and it means free traffic on your keywords for a long time to come.

Below you’ll find a few of the top article directories I’m using when submitting to free directories. This list includes the best FREE article directories, but if you like to submit to more than these ones, just do a Google search for “Ezines” or “Article Submission” and click on Similar Pages under top listings.

EzineArticles
Go Articles
Article Circle
Article City
Article Click
Article Dashboard
Articles Base

The two most important (in my opinion) are EzineArticles and Go Articles, but the rest are worth spend some time wit also. I have tried using these automated Article Submitters, but my our opinion they are just extremely time consuming and does not give the outcome I looked for. It’s basically been a waist of time in my case.

Make sure you put some effort into creating your profile at the different article directories, because this is actually where you will get your traffic from. Often you can include 3 links, so chose carefully which links to include as well.

As said above I can’t talk about free traffic without talking about posting on forums. Together with Article marketing forum marketing is one of the most powerful free traffic out there. When you find your niche, make sure it has online magazines: And if they do you bet they have a lot of forums in that niche as well. It will simply tell you that the demand is HUGE fin your niche. Then just do Goggle search on your niche to see what you can find. If you find what you are looking for, start posting there with your signature (where you put your link). And if you are really creative, start your own thread.

How to attract the defined market

Attraction marketing is a method of selling, but one that offers a more personalized tactics in such a way as to build trust from the potential buyer, investor or business owner. Whereas in a traditional marketing method, sales agents are persistent and ever “selling” to the potential buyer, attraction marketing allows the buyer to come into the sale on their own. This method is most successful because people just do not like being sold to. You do not like to sell and prospects do not like to be sold to.

How Attraction Marketing Methods Are Better

Attraction marketing overcomes the “forced” sale and allows the prospect to want to buy. For example, think your favorite store at the mall. In most cases, they will have what you are looking for in size and style. They are well stocked, clean, well light and comfortable to be in. More so, customer service personnel are available to help but they are not helping you to overcome your objections to styles or sizes. You can choose what works for you. This works because even if you do not buy from the store today, chances are good your experience was a positive one. This will bring you back in next time.

Unlike traditional selling, attraction marketing emphasis on creating a customer who will come back. People do like to buy and are willing to do so, but they do not want to feel pressured into a sale.

How to Incorporate Attraction Marketing

It may sound like a good strategy, but how do you get attraction marketing to work for you? Online, many methods exist to allow people to find you and to learn about what you have to offer them. Consider the following methods.

• Use article writing to help people searching for your product or service to find it online.
• Use a video to demonstrate or teach something
• Create a blog and network to build a loyal base of readers who trust you and are willing to buy from you because of that trust
• Use websites like Squidoo to help you to get links from people who are already interested in the subject.
• Use social networking tools to help people to find you and to get to know you.

One of the keys to using attraction marketing effectively is to think like a leader rather than a sales person. Rather than telling people what they have to buy and why it is perfect for them, lead them to making their own decisions. Solve the prospects problems.

In order to be successful, you do have to be interesting, unique and even unpredictable. You have to stand out in the crowd so that possible buyers can find you and will learn to trust in what you say.

This type of marketing method is ideal for anyone who is having trouble selling or is not reaching his or her potential in sales. If you find yourself having to force feed your prospects, you may want to switch your approach to various attraction marketing tactics to generate website traffic.

This is a short guide I wrote that shows you how to get hosting for $0.01 on http://hostgator.com

How to Get Hosting For $0.01

I was asked the question recently, if there’s an ideal number of visitors for a conversion rate test, and if is what is that, and here is my answer:

The thing is, to be statistically significant (or to get statistically significant results) in many cases your significance level will be dependent on the number of results, not the amount of traffic (or sample size). (Sample size does matter, but for non-scientific tests like variable traffic conversion rate tests, results are more important than sample size, in my opinion).

I like to work with the conversions, not the # of visitors. Because the number of conversions is what helps you get statistically significant results. So…I like to see 30-50 conversions per option per campaign. So if you are testing a squeeze page with average conversion rate of 30%, then you might only need 100-150 visits per campaign, yielding 30-45 conversions. But if you are selling something that has a conversion rate of for example 1%, then you will need 3000-5000 visits.

For initial testing purposes, I recommend going with lower prices or squeeze page prices (free) to get results for the various parts of your sales page. THEN test the price with the highest converting sales page.

The reason for this is that if you are testing much higher prices, then your conversion rates will of course be much lower, which means that the test will take a lot more time. So speed up the test by reducing or removing the price barrier, then once you have significant results, put the price variable back in (or raise it to reasonable levels for your test).
